Common Mistakes & Tips
- Don't include the leading 0. For a Pakistani number 0300 1234567, only enter 3001234567 — the country code (+92) is added by the picker.
- Don't use the + sign, spaces, or dashes. The wa.me format only accepts digits. The tool strips these automatically, but cleaner input means fewer surprises.
- Double-check the country. The same number can exist in multiple countries. Always pick the country that matches the number's actual registered country.
- Test the link before sharing widely. Use the built-in "Test Link" button to open it in a new tab and confirm it lands on the correct WhatsApp chat.
- For long messages, keep them under 500 characters. Some older WhatsApp versions truncate very long pre-filled texts.
